Just got back from E-town, dragged the IS!

Just got back from the Spring Nationals at Englishtown, what a great event! Just want to say hi to all the IS300.net members I met today and I am looking forward to "The Fast and The Furious" meet! I wasn't planning on racing but I did, and the car surprised me, I was expecting around a 15.7 or 15.9, but I ran a 15.5 and 15.4 both at 90 mph. I came in fifth place for normally aspirated six cylinders, although I can't complain because my Dad got first with a best time of 12.5 at 111mph in his NSX! Some other notable events were that Steph Papadakis set the record for a front wheel drive vehicle with an 8.4 at 171mph, Turbonectics unveiled a Twin turbo lexus V8 powered carbon fiber and tubed body new Celica, Craig Paisley did a wheely that had the nose of his car straight up in the air, but luckily he wasn't injured, and the AEBS Ford Focus ran a best time of 7.5 at 180mph. The event will be aired on ESPN supposedly on May 25th.

Damn, that's a fast Focus. You had fun I see, I am going to try my first autocross later this month. Tony (webmaster) came in second at the last autocross just behind a new Impreza WRX. He said he'll get him next time, that's when I was like [email protected]# it I'm gonna try this. I think it's gonna be fun, and my car will get it's first true test of agility.

I saw your dad (Accord R), on saturday night and Sunday! he was tearin' it up! He was like the superstar on Saturday...

I was in a Honda Accord that was in front of you after the race on Sunday night, not sure what road but it was the road where the 2 VW's and the Camaro were racing and then all 3 got pulled over! LOL!!

Anyhow, nice car and nice rims...too bad I didn't get to talk to you, one of my friends did talk to you though...

Did you see the Silver IS on satuday that had NOS? The guy told me he had 125 HP shot of NOS going

he also said his best times were 13.8

BigDaddyRich and Ted,,,saw your cars, but didn't see you guys...

glad to hear you had fun. Too bad we didn't get a chance to meet and talk.

AccordR, I'd like to talk w/ you more 'bout mods and just getting more into racing. Nice set-up on your car and your dad's NSX.

Are you in CT or NY? Interested in doing some stuff @ Lime Rock but don't know anyone or how to get on the schedule. several guys would be interested. could you help us out?

You guys definately need to come to our CT meets. Fast & Furious baby!!!

Nice to finally meet some of the board members.... We had a great time and the weather was GORGEOUS !!! Everyone's rides were looking fantastic. Unfortunately all the IS's were shut out as far as the awards go. See everyone at the next meet.

GMoney, that was you! Those people that were racing in the Camaro were cutting people off and doing burn outs so rocks would fly at the cars behind them. Some dude in a whit and blue wide body eclipse I thought was going to go after them!

I'm in New York so CT meets are cool with me! I should have the pics back from e-town today or tommorow and I'll post them as soon as I scan them.

I was the passenger in the Accord in front of you (its a champaign/silver color). Yup, i was there with a Turbo civic, turbo integra and supercharged VW.

Yeah, the were driving like a$$es, but the undercover cop got them..hehehehe

hey guys.. it was definitely a pleasure to meet all of you.. accord-R & the best father in the world, MrMark & i believe his wife, and anyone and everyone else that i can't remember right now.. including some of the other IS owners that were recruited to IS300.net by us.. hehe.. hey G-Money, sorry we didn't get to meet up.. i didn't bring the IS, but had my girls M3 with me.. i was parked in between Rich and Ted at the show, if you remember.. anyways.. it was alot of fun.. but to be honest.. the best part of my day came at about 10:00 at night on our way home.. we ran into a Mustang Cobra convertible and a integra type R w/ a full japanese conversion, IT WAS TIGHT.. but was slower than me and the cobra. i might get reemed for this..but i had the BEST and most fun race of my life last night... for about 30 minutes.. we were getting to speeds of up to 140+ ... it was amazing.. i mean it..absolutely amazing.. i haven't had so much fun racing in a LONG time.. im just sorry to Ted..who tried to keep up, but was not able to.. sorry bro..and i'll get that radio later along with giving you the tape to record the show.. I truly have a HIGHER expectation from the M3 now.. it has completely surpassed my every thought of its capabilities.. after going so fast for so long, it just begged to go faster and faster. and the incredible part was that it took less gas to get home ..then to get to the show.. that did not make any sense to me. well.. i wish i could remember more details.. but even if i did .... some of you would probably go off on me.. so .. to a great day.. and even a better night. peace.
