So we've been having some really heavy rains here in OREGON in the last couple weeks, and somehow the side sections of my trunk where the jack sit as well as the opposite side have water in them!!! I am not sure what it's from but I noticed there's some sort of huge vent in those sides with a light piece of plastic that kind of flaps to let air vent but possibly prevent moisture from getting in?? I THINK those are the problem so I put duct tape over them as good as possible to try to stop it.

Anyone else having this problem with water in the side sections of their trunks?? It's driving me nuts!

Matt

ALSO:: The carpet and liners in the trunk are perfectly dry and the vehicle has never been in an accident.

Change your weather striping. It goes bad after a while. After that if water is coming in check your tail lights to see if there seated right and sealing around the body. My Acura had that problem. GL
