First: To Webmaster, great job on updating your website.

Now, for all who can receive the Motoring 2000 on TSN, they just reviewed the IS300, a yellow one, this morning @ 10:30. It's about 5 minutes long.

Check your TV listings, they normally repeat this program a few times. So you can still catch it.

OK - us Americans are in luck.

I just saw a similar review on this week's
Motorweek (on PBS and Speedvision).

They also drove the Yellow (Ivory Interior) with Graphite Wheels.

And wouldn't you know it - my Autoweek
showed up in the mail today - the one
with the Yellow IS300 on the cover!

Hey webmaster - it IS your birthday.
IS300 on Motorweek and in Autoweek
showing up today!

TEG: Congradulations on your role as the first Moderator. I think with your knowledge, maturity and fairness, your are more than qualified for this role.

The review is basically the same as the Globe and Mail review (that review is written by the same person), this is more like a video version of the review. So rather than looking at static pictures, we can see the car in action.

In the video, he said the acceleration from 0-100k is 7.5 seconds. The engine/exhaust note sounds pretty good when he took it to the redline.

The interior does seem a bit small eventhough he said there's lots of room both front and back (he's not a big guy by any means). He did complain about the small trunk and the intrusion of the hinges.

Except for the yellow colour (which I don't really like), the car seems a bit Japanese generic out in the street, if I don't know what I'm looking at, it may seems lost in the crowd. Could be just the video. I'll have to wait for the actual car to tell.

His conclusion is the IS300 may not replace the 3 series, but it's more than up to the task of challanging it. Overall, a favourable view.

TSN is a Canadian channel, it used to be partly owned by ESPN however they sold their stake a few years ago to CTV (a large canadian network similar to CBS, NBC, etc...).
