OK, Quick and easy question. . .

Does the IS's horn sound manly, or does it sound like a Road-Runner rip-off?

Also, is the alarm tied to the horn, or is it a separate siren?

Thanks,
J

yes the horn is tied into the alarm.

On a different note.

I like the fact that they put the alarm keypad in the key... BUT i was in work one day and i was kneeling down and my buddy run's over to tell me my alarm was going off.. I was like HUH
so I ran over to the window and yes it was going off. I then realized
That the button was being pressed in my pocket.. opps..

I think the horn sounds like one of those old, big-boat American cars. It does have a rich sound though. I prefer the horn from my Prelude; piercing and obnoxious. The IS' horn sounds polite, if you know what I mean! :p

The First Model year LS400 Lexus which came out in 1989 had a "Beep" horn like the honda and the rest of the japanese cars.. People complained and the next model year it had a european sounding horn....

I bought a new Windstar this year and the horn sucks. Sounds like a Datsun B210 or something. One of the first things I did when I test drove was test the horn. I think the IS 300 has a great sounding horn.
