I think it was the latest road and track that there is an article about an IS300 coupe, sport wagon and convertable. Anyone know the release dates on these?

The new issue of Magazine X came out yesterday. In it there is a new picture of the Altezza Sports wagon. It looks much nicer than the Computer graphic image thats been around since the beginning of this year. Coupe's R&D has been scrapped. I have never heard of a convertible but Toyota has been making convertibles in CA so there may be a chance (but very slim).

The sports wagon should be coming out next year (spring or fall, but these are magazine speculations.)

Well, actually that is something I cooked up in photoshop.

As far as I know, there are no plans for an IS300 convertable...

Teg, you got me there. I was ready to get ont he horn to Lexus and get one of those. Man that was sweet! You got my heart pumpin there.

So there are no plans for a sport sedan convertible from LEXUS?

it would be nice... doubt the Toyota execs would really put that much effort into really developing the idea though.

They said the coupe might show up in the 2004 model year in the Road and Track article.

I think it more likely that they make an SC300 replacement based on the IS300 chassis, rather than making an "IS300 coupe"...

Ok good if they made a coupe I would need to go get that as well because I love coupes even though I have an IS I have two friends with 323ci's and they are unreal.

The new issue of Motor Trend also has sketches on a coupe, convertible and wagon. The rendering of the coupe looks good. Not too keen on the convertible. The new SC should be awesome! I wonder if it will be available as a hardtop?
