Thanks to my.is member Hiroshima for this write-up on the 60k mile maintenance.
For those who want to do most of the 60k service on your own, I have created this thread and the attached links so that you can pick and choose what you want to do. I tried to document as closely as possible the procedures taken in each procedure. I have also tried to document prices, part numbers, time taken, and effort required.

General consensus says that you do the following things:

Coolant Replacement
<l>Skill Level: Beginner</l>
Tools Needed: Minimal

Power Steering Flush
Skill Level: Moderate

Transmission Fluid Replacement

Differential Fluid Replacement

Inspect Brake Pads (Replace if necessary, 1mm is the minimum pad thickness before replacement)

Brake Fluid Replacement
Skill Level: Beginner
Tools Needed: Minimal
StopTech : Balanced Brake Upgrades
http://my.is/forums/f67/is300-brake-fluid-replacement-bleed-340997/
For the IS you need a 10mm wrench and a 12-14" length of 1/4" clear tubing

Spark Plug Replacement (if you have Platinum and not iridium plugs)
Skill Level: Moderate
Tools Needed: Moderate

Fuel System Maintenance
I use BG44k before I change the oil which is a total fuel system cleaner.

Replace PCV Valve
Replace Oil and Filter
Replace Air Filter
Replace AC Cabin Filter
Lubricate hinges
Rotate Wheels
Inspect/Replace Serpentine belt. For some reason I could not get the pulley to move so I am going to pay someone to do this for me. I know,.... it is supposed to be easy, but I was not able to do this one.

Things you probably cannot do on your own
Balance Tires (Subjective, if you need it, do it. If not I would skip it and wait until you replace your tires)
Alignment (Subjective, if you need it, do it. If not I would skip it and wait until you replace your tires)
Torque drive shaft bolts

I'm ready to do my 60k, but...

Has SynPower Brake Fluid been discontinued?

Yes. SynPower Brake Fluid has been replaced by Valvoline Full Synthetic DOT 3 & DOT 4 Brake Fluid.

Is it OKAY to use the new DOT 3 & DOT 4 replacement? or is there a better recommendation for brake fluid? thx

Can someone give me the Lexus IS300 Brake Pad part number? I have some brake pads from my 98 Lexus ES300 and I wanted to see if they were the same.

Also... do you usually change your rotors at 60k?

Maybe this has been addressed before? On the "Spark Plug Replacement" heading, I'm assuming only platinum plugs need replacing at 60K? When do iriduim plugs need to be replaced? I spoke with a Toyota parts guy and he says that only platinums need to be replaced at 60K and iriduims at 90K. Can someone confirm this? Thanks!

Transmission filter?

Should I be changing the transmission filter with the 60k service? If I don't have to, I'd rather not, but it seems kind of counterproductive to change the fluid and not change the filter. Any advice?
