Don't flame me for this, I know you guys are all sick of hearing about the new IS pricing. I don't know if this has been posted before or not, but I thought this was kind of interesting.

On Lexus.jp:

IS250 RWD: 3,900,000 Yen
If you use a currency converter, you get $34,998.15 for the japanese IS250.

GS300 RWD: 5,200,000 Yen
If you use a currency converter, you get $46,690.50 for the japanese GS300.

The US Spec GS300 RWD is $43,800.

If you do a simple ratio of US price/Japanese Price, you get 0.93809233.

Now, if you multiply the Japanese converted price for the IS250 by this ratio, you get $32,831.50.

This isn't official or anything, but it must be pretty darn close.

the gs in japan is the gs350 though.

my former coworker lives in japan and tried to buy a nissan skyline. cars do cost more over there, he said a skyline was something in the high 40s loaded. where a loaded g35 coupe in america costs well under 40k

I didn't know this. I just did the same price comparison between the japanese GS430 and the US Spec GS430 and I got a ratio of 0.91890595 which would actually be a better price for us here in the US.

With that ratio, I get a price of $32,160.00, so marginally better.
