I don't know if it's the way I brake .. but I find sometimes that when I even put my foot on the break a little bit .. the car kinda jerks ... I was just wondering if any of you have had this happen to you? Is it becase they breaks are new .. or could it be me? Thanks!

haha..Im guessing its you dog. Seemingly the brakes on the IS300 are made a bit "mushier" and if your accustomed to driving cars that are more sensitive there shouldnt be a jerking at all....just take it easy and you'll be fine...break em in.

Mine does a downshift thing on occasion when I touch the brakes - 5th gear downhill 40/50 mph off the gas for several seconds. That is the only uneven braking I have observed. The car seems to have decent brakes for it's class. My previous car was lighter and hab PBRs all the way around - it took me a while to get used to stopping the IS. Of course the other cars in the family are a SUV and a 64 1/2 Mustang so I am not unaccustomed to braking early.

I've noticed the same thing too. But at much lower speeds. It usually happens when I've just started the engine and am on my way. As soon as I tap on the brakes, while going just 20+ mph, it feels like I'm mashing down on the brakes. Almost caused a few accidents a couple times.

Thanks everyone .. the brakes are by far FIRST class, and the best out there .. I was just wondering if it was me. I think it might be I wore pretty heavy dress shoes today so that maybe it. But thank's .. tomorrow I'll see if it still happens, I'll wear nike shoes tomorrow and see what's up. Thanks!
