I was out of town visiting a friend this weeked and got in Sunday morning about 3:00am. When I woke up and went outside, I noticed my trunk looked weird. When I walked over to the car, it looks like they were trying to use a crow bar to pry the spoiler off and ended up doing severe damage to the trunk and the spoiler. Over $2000 in damage.

Sorry for what happened. But some fockers tried to open my trunk to get my system out. actually they did, but I have a clifford and the stock alarm working at the same time.

hopefully they didn't stole anything. but they kinda broke the keyhole in the trunk

Believe me, I do wish them that sloooow and painful death. It looks like you guys have certainly been there too. They didn't steal anything fortunately, just a lot of damage. The shop said that they have to replace the trunk and the spoiler. I guess I just gotta take it in stride. I am just wondering how severely is this going to affect my insurance premium.

That sucks, I know your pain man.
I'm almost done building the ALP device, and I"ll post pictures and sales info when I'm done, maybe even late today.
Nobody will mess w/ your car when you have ALP.

I was out of town visiting some friends when it happened. Where I live or work, I wouldn't be worried about the safety of it. I would have to say that they are fortunate I didn't catch them in the act or I would have to use ALP
my newly designed and engineered version.

depending on you insurance.. you may have to pay either a deductible (500.00 -typical amount with AAA) or a special fee to get that fixed by your auto insrnce agency/cmpny.

I guess the only way to prevent this to happen is to garage the IS.

it is hard to say what your insurance company will say...I had someone smash my drivers side window and steal my aftermarket system (my fault for not removing the face plate) and the insurance company picked up everything - it was covered by my comprehensive...I think it depends on what type of coverages you have...good luck!

My insurance will cover the over $2000 in damage. I was just wondering if when it comes time for renewal if my yearly premium will increase due to this incident. This is my first claim with them and I have been with them for almost a year and a half.
