I have a thread on Clublexus
Big Meet Weekend Jan 19th (IS-F Meet) W.Palm Beach (updated please read & give input) - Page 3 - Club Lexus Forums
and my thoughts are to make this a BIG Lexus weekend, no matter if you are driving the IS-F or not.
I am sure most here are aware of the IS-F drive at W. Palm Beach Jan 19th. My freaking bags are packed. :D I'm recruiting girls already:D
Okay gang here is the FINAL plan. It is not perfect but I think we can make the most of it.
1. Friday night

Thread here:
Jan 18th, Friday- Mini meet/track night at Moroso (1/4 mile) at 7pm - Club Lexus Forums

Edited. We will meet at the gas station next to Moroso Motorsports park Moroso Motorsports Park - Home
at 7pm and leave and drive through the gates together at 7:30 sharp. This allows people to fill up who needs it and for us to have a nice Lexus caravan inside.

Once inside, we will PARK first in an area for all our cars to be together. From there you can run your car ALL YOU WANT until 1am!!!!

If you come after 7:30, look for the Lexus vehicles parked together. Not sure how long we will stay, it depends on the crowd there, and wrecks etc. Probably for a good while once weather holds up. :)

Moroso is having Midnight Madness this night, gates are open from 6pm-1am. Lets get together and run for fun. Turbo'd, Supercharged, Nitros, NA, it doesn't matter, you don't even have to run your car if you don't want to. I was thinking we just make it a little Mini meet and heck throw some of the cars down the track for shiits and giggles? By the way you don't have to bring your Lexus, I'm gonna try to get my brother to either bring out his 8sec Mustang or the at least his 10sec Mustang.

Directions

From the South take I-95 (exit 79B) or FL Turnpike (exit 109) to PGA Blvd. Go west to SR 710 and turn right, go 8.2 miles.

From the North take I-95 (exit 87B) or FL Turnpike (exit 116) to Indiantown Rd (SR706) go west to SR710 turn left, go 3 miles.

From the Naples/Ft. Myers area take I-75 south to the Turnpike, take the Turnpike north to Exit 109 (PGA Blvd). Take PGA Blvd. West until it dead-ends (SR 710/Beeline Hwy), take a right and continue for 8 miles.

For yall with NAV

Moroso Motorsports Park
561.622.1400 or 561.626.2053 FAX
17047 Beeline Hwy.
Jupiter, FL 33478

2. Saturday
-I will get there around 7:15-7:30 am and park where I feel there is AMPLE space to be surrounded by TONS and TONS of Lexus. Its our meet spot and for photo opportunities. Please forgive me, I am have not been here before but if its like other tracks I have been too, it should not be a problem. PLEASE PARK TOGETHER and if possible BY CAR MODEL
-1IS
-2IS
-1GS
-2GS
-3GS
-1SC
-2SC
-RX/LX etc etc
I would like us to try our best to park NEXT to like car model instead of Lexus vehicles all over the parking lot.
-Lexus meet all day long, 8-5pm!!!! in the parking lot for those waiting to drive, finished driving, those not driving and those that want to show some love and share their cars!
Saturday PART II
-We will eat dinner at DAISY DUKES Saloon Welcome To Daisy Dukes!!!    Pembroke Pines' Best Sports Bar!

Directions here
10060 Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024 - Google Maps

For those with NAV

10060 Pines Blvd
Hollywood, FL 33024
954-430-9930
at 7:00 pm for dinner. This allows time for the 5pm people to arrive and those that hung out all day to change/shower up. I will call for reservations for at least 20.
-For those that want to hang out, I am sure that will be figured out at the dinner table there:D

3. Sunday
-no plan, recuperate and log onto Clublexus to post pics and give a recap!!!

I love it that Mike (1SICKLEX), the Atlanta meetmeister, and his South Florida counterpart, Josh R. (LexIS307) have already gotten the ball rolling on this. We should definitely go beyond just doing the IS F Moroso event on Saturday morning/afternoon.

Given that people will be flying and driving in from out of town (and out of state), I think that a Friday night dinner/meet & greet for out of towners might be unworkable. On the other hand, the Friday night visit to Moroso for drag (racing, NOT guys dressed up like girls) night sounds great.

Josh R. (LexIS307) came up with an excellent idea for dinner Saturday night at, say, 8 PM: the Dave & Buster's off I-95 between the Sheridan Street and Stirling Road exits in Hollywood:
Dave & Buster’s – Eat, Drink, Play – Official Site
Yahoo! Maps, Driving Directions, and Traffic

Besides being one of the few places that could accommodate our expected large crowd, it's also a nice, central "jump-off" point for any of the 3 worthwhile areas to explore post-dinner for those that simply can't get enough partying:

The Seminole Hard Rock Casino complex to the west:
Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood Florida | Hard Rock Hotel Casino FL | Hard Rock Casino Hollywood Florida

Downtown Fort Lauderdale / Riverwalk to the north:
Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale - Home

Miami Beach's South Beach/Ocean Drive to the southeast:
South Beach Hotels | Miami Beach | Miami Beach USA's Guide

Thanks, I appreciate that.
We need to make moves ASAP.

So Adrian is going to ensure the track is open Friday night. For those that want to drag the cars, we plan to meet early and have a nice Lexus cruise in to the track.

Nothing planned for Saturday morning but I don't see why not. Lexus said they will have small breakfast/Lunch.

Dave and Busters sounds cool, my only reservation is, I go to the one in Atlanta all the time.
JM Lexus proposed brusroom

I have a suggestion for the Sat. night dinner:
How 'bout the new Bru's Room sports bar in Coconut Creek?
It has a nice outside area as well as parking.

BRU'S ROOM Sports Grill
Anyone been there? We need to set a dinner date, I am sure we will be VERY hungry after the track day, so I am thinking no later than 6pm and we can have a beautiful Lexus cruise there.

I or someone else can call Busters/Bruss and let them know we would like VIP parking saved maybe out front or just together for photo opps.

Okay so this is finalizing. I would like to have this official by Friday night, that gives people a good week to know final plans.
1. Friday night
-name hotel(s) out of towners will stay at. Moroso hotel/motel Partners are here;
Moroso Motorsports Park - Bookmarks / Root / Visitor Info / Hotels
There is something for every budget.
I will more than likely be staying here, the FairField Marriot as there is the Club Safari inside!! (how is this club??)
Palm Beach Hotel: Marriott Palm Beach, FL Hotel in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
-For those that want to meet Friday, a time/place will be set.
-From there, we cruise to Moroso for the Friday night drag.
-Cruise or go out that night? Or play cards at the hotel room/conference room?
2. Saturday
-Breakfast Saturday morning or meet to cruise in Sat morning.
-Parking together at Moroso (though I am guessing the park will be CLOSED and we will be able to park together irregardless if we get permission or not). Lexus will have light breakfast/lunch refreshments.
-Lexus meet in the parking lot for those waiting to drive, finished driving, those not driving and those that want to show some love and share their cars!
-Cruise from Moroso to either Dave and Busters or Brussroom (we need to decide which one)
-Go out and club at SAFARI which is at the Fairfield Marriot??? (I am going out!!!)
Club Safari Palm Beach Gardens Florida

3. Sunday
-no plan. unless people want to meet for Breakfast one last time

PLEASE GIVE INPUT!!!
-Have Marriot Fairfield the weekend headquarters? Then we can all meet here for any cruise in/out anywhere (to the track/eat/etc).
-Eat at Dave & Busters or at Brussroom?
-Is Club Safari a good club for us all to hang at?
-Any other thoughts???

1SICKLEX I have never been but I would imagine a club at the hotel would suck, but if you just wanted a place that everybody could hang, might fit the bill.

Otherwise the hot spot in WPB is Clematis Street, which has many bars for every taste on one street. Parking sucks, but there is a lot more action and things to look at if you know what I mean. The girls are smoking, you will have whiplash.

How many people are out of town versus locals? I know Bart and Michael are coming out of town.

I can't imagine a lot of people from Dade are going to drive up to WPB twice in two days (Friday night, Saturday). Three times if they want to shower or rest (Saturday Night). The drive is probably 1.5 to 2 hours one way from Dade County.

If you want to make it easier on driving for the out-of-towners, I would stay close to WPB for Sat night and Bru's Room is in Broward but a lot closer than D&B.

If you want it easier for more Dade County people to attend some part of the weekend, I would pick D&B as that is a lot closer to them.

Depending on how being away from the home Sat morning and afternoon goes for me, will determine if my permission slip gets extend from my wife. I imagine I would be able to go to dinner, but any activities after that probably not.

It is hard to get the ball rolling on things in South Florida, because everybody is spread out, and they have an affinity for their County, and don't like to wander out often. Plus most of us are too cool to hang, or in my case too old. ;)

Regardless, I look forward to meeting everybody!

there are a couple parking garages near clematis but the dtn roads last time i was there were awful bc of construction; almost as bad as miami.

bradleys is a wpb staple and has an outside seating area as well.

you could try to park at cityplace and grab the free trolley to clematis tho....actually i dont even know if the free trolley service exists anymore but im sure that somebody else up there can confirm....

Thanks for the suggestions!! Friday night, I don't expect a huge gathering. Saturday would be the main event, for those that want to do it all one day.

For Friday....

Okay I called Moroso. The Midnight Drag is a go. 6pm -1am.
$20 to run
$13 to watch.

Yes we will meet up and roll in together. Can someone in the area recommend a meet spot?

If not, when I finalize the hotel this Friday, we will meet there and cruise together.
