Can you run 245/45/17 both front and back on a Rwd, without rubbing or with speedo, or traction problems. My friends Bmw 335i runs the smaller size all around 225/45/17 why cant we?????????

Can anyone help me?

i just want to be able to rotate to get more millage.

even i wonder if i can run 235s instead?

The easy answer is to run 225/45/17's all the way around. That way you know for sure that they fit and that they won't cause any interference with the speedo, ABS, etc. The 245/45's are taller than the 225's and may cause issues (other than rubbing). My IS350 had 265/35/18's (instead of the stock 225/40's) on the front when I bought it (the snow tires were installed incorrectly) and they rubbed just a tad bit. If you want to go wider all the way round look for a 235/40 or 235/45 and look up the specs to see what the diameter of the tire is. Your 225's are roughly 25" in diameter. The goal would be to come as close to this number as possible. Check out Tirerack.com for specs on a variety of brands.
