Does anybody know the percentage of how much more air an aftermarket intake gives us? Why I ask....my friend has a clk430 and he is looking at some intake that brings in 30% more air.....so im trying to tell him yes or no if that is worth 500 bones

regardless of how much more air it can give, you need to find out whether the ecu can compensate for it. If not, then there's no point.

we already know the intake works with the car, i was just wondering the comparison of intakes...as in how much air one of our aftermarket intakes sucks in as oppose to the stock intake

I just got a cool tool where I can actually find that out.
Now I just need a stock car and a car with an intake.

you could probably do a back of the envelope calculating using bernoulli's eqt. and some estimated pressure drops thought the air box, filter etc.
