I hate dump trucks

Driving home today I was stuck behind a dump truck on the highway. The thing was hauling a pile of gravel. The pile of gravel in the back was higher then the roofline of the truck. So the wind was blowing gravel into all three lanes in back of the truck! All I could hear is a bunch of itty butty pebbles hitting the front side of my IS300. And I was stuck directly in back of the truck for a couple seconds until I could changes lanes and finally over take the damn truck.

THERE NEEDS TO BE A LAW THAT FORCES ANY DUMP TRUCK CARRYING MATERIALS, TO BE REQUIRED TO HAVE SOME KIND OF TARP TO COVER THE BACK.

All I could think about while driving in back of the truck and hearing the pebbles hit was..."soft paint, soft paint"! Anyways I pulled over and luckily found no new paint chips.

And that's my war story for today.

I think that is what shoulders are made for....save the paint and pass 'em on the shoulder!

Maybe not the best idea but out in front there are no pebbles and rocks bouncing into you.

Couple of years ago I got stuck behind some roofers towing a vat of hot tar. Somehow it started to spray out and ended up all over the front of my old bimmer. Almost worse than paint chips!

Here if FL, they are required to cover with a tarp, or at least what remains of a tarp. . . Problem is that it's usually to torn piece of cloth that flaps in the wind kicking up extra dirt and rocks to attack your car. Plus, most of the dump truck drivers down here think they're driving and [email protected]#$ ferrari and constantly weave in and out of traffic in order to deliver the most loads in a day. I hate them things!!! I really hate them things!! I've never seen one pulled over either! I really, really hate them things. . .

Sorry, ya touched a nerve. . . did I mention I hated dump trucks. . .
