The Aztek is by far the ugliest of the new cars on the road. That thing is hideous! It looks like a tent with wheels. Maybe the second generation will be less repulsive.

I think that it is definitely an ugly vehicle. Just too wierd for my taste.
On an interesting note, however, I saw one on that new Dark Angel show. Somehow, it looked -dare I say- "good" (shudder). It kinda fit in with that futuristic, post-electro-pulsed, Mad Max kinda town. Maybe it'll grow on us. . . maybe I'm too optimistic. . . Maybe I just don't know what the hell I'm talking about. . .

My brother and I used to joke about how ugly they were and how they used to look like a "Jetson's" car. . . I'm sure we'll all agree that they're still ugly, but it looks like the older folks took to them fine. . .

Maybe those real lonely or self-centered folks who don't care about anything except getting attention. Like it or not, we're still forced to look at it.

I believe the 2002 Buick Redezvous (www.buick.com) is based on the same chassis as the Pontiac Aztec....Great... Another one

Normally, I try never to give an opinion on styling because it is so subjective. The Aztek however, is an exception to the rule. It's just plain ugly, frumpy, dorky, weird, etc etc etc. Its vehicles like the Aztek that make me wonder how the hell GM stays in business. Their initial projections were for 80,000/year. They have since dropped that to 25,000 - 50,000/year. I have a feeling it will be closer to 25 than 50!! Another complete and utter flop from GM... gee... what a surprise

I can't beleive they're still the biggest automaker in the world. I haven't seen one nice Pontiac - ever, and don't even get me started on Chevrolets. I guess the only decent GM product (that I'd consider taking if someone gave it to me for free) is the Cadillac STS and the Corvette Z06.
I don't see BMW/MB/Lexus or Audi making any such mistakes. Who's running this damn American company?
