Hi all.

I was wondering if someone has ever removed the black window molding before. I had my windows tinted last week and the guy got too close to the plastic with the heat gun (or left it too long over it).

Any ideas? I attached a picture below of what I'm talking about.

I did not any hits in the search field.

Thanks.

Just to clarify, the molding that I'm referring to are the two black "panels" running up and down the length of the window (both windows).

Thanks.

You have to remove the door panel first, then the window molding will be revealed. I just replaced the front piano black triangle piece on my IS F this way.

It should only take you a few minutes as it is pretty easy. Hidden screw behind the opener latch and another under the power control panel...then pop pins on the door panel. The window molding will also have pop pins holding it into place, they will be self evident once the panel is off.
