How to Measure True Beauty...

A truly beautiful car is one that looks nice from every angle and every color. There are some cars that are nice looking but when looked at from a different angle their beauty begins to fade (and it looks like a different car). As far as color is concerned, let me give you an example. I can say that the BMW X5 is a nice looking vehicle. Then Friday night I saw a white X5 V8 4.4 from behind... YUCK! It did not look like a $55K car and looked totally different instead..... The IS300 is an exeption I think. I've seen it in every color and from every angle and it was still beautiful to me. So that would be "TRUE BEAUTY" in my Book and its defining lines works to its advantage.. The BMW 3 series is not a bad looking car but only from certain angles. It looks nice in Silver but every other BMW is Silver......Then comes the CL-s... as far as color, it only looks nice "TO ME" only in Black. As far as angle is concerned, it looks eye watering from just about every angle...

yeah...i never really liked te e-class, especially when i can get a c class that looks better in my opinion =)(well no wi can anyways)
Sorry Eric, forgot about the factory color only thing....must be getting old.
have you seen the new C in real life? They are ugly. The picture is so much better than the real life thing. I think it maybe because the car is too high off the ground, but I am glad I didn't wait for that.

I absolutely agree with you. I actually think my E55 looks better than the new C-class. The C-class looks like it's on Stilts..Kinda liked the Mustang GT looked like when it came out in 1993 (like it was on Stilts). Photos do the c-class too much justice...
Eric....
hey, lower the thing =) the only thing i have against it is that it sits too high and its too short...it reminds me of a focus =) i've seen plenty of them( i drive by an mb dealer on my way to school every morning)

To be totally honest, the reason why I didn't mention my E55 as being amongst the most beautiful is because I don't consider it to be.....I don't like the headlights. Ever since the E-class came out I didn't like the headlights and I thought it would grow on me, but it didn't.... I love everything else about my E55 though and that's why I bought it

Eric...
I thought the 1999 E-class was a beautiful car, but I don't like the subtle front end changes they made in 2000.

The other day I saw a rain forest green 2000 911 Carrera. I thought it looked cool - reminded me of a giant bullfrog.
see what you mean.
i dont like green, yet i love the way the green IS looked, and only the IS could make the auburn sky look so classy, of course classic black looks good on any car, the white and silver too, i have yet to see graphite in person but i love my SMB. every shade the IS comes in would look sweet in my garage.
Viggen,
My E55 is a 1999.... I thought that the 2000 model year was sleeker looking from the front... right? It's hard for me to pinpoint what they did.

That was EXACTLY my point

Eric - they made a slight change to the front airdam. I personally thought the '99 model's was much cleaner looking.
The Italians may not build reliable cars, but they sure have produced some beautiful designs.

I agree... drool...

I also agree with the assessment of the C class; I wasn't too impressed with it after I saw it in real life.

Is it me or does the new C class actually looked kind of cheap in real life? I mean the S-class looked sophisticated on both paper and real life, but the C-class doesn't. When I first saw the new C in the magazine, I was like "wow, this car is beautiful". I was actually questioning my decision on the IS a little bit, but after seeing it in real life, I don't feel that way any more. How did they make the car look so good in picture and so bad in real life? I actually like my brother's C230 more than the new C.
Is it just me?

It's not just you... The S-class is much longer which does its shape justice (makes it look Sleek and Elegant). It seems like the design and shape was meant for the S-class. On the other hand, the C-class looks like it's on stilts (as I said above) and that sleek elegant design all of a sudden looks too square and boxy...
Eric...
Are there any C-class owners in here? If so what are your impressions of your car?
Sorry if I offended anyone with my visual impression of the car above....
Eric..
On the C-class

My best friend just brought home his new C and the looks are great but I think the IS is still more attractive. The power is terrible and the tack on prices are ridiculous. He's got Xenon lights and the C2 package which comes with the glass moonroof, the rear visors, and some other unnoticable little things. $37,900 IMO- not worth it.
"$37,900" - I'm gonna assume your friend got the C240.
