This is the alternate fog lights mod I found over on the Colorado Lexus Club site, due to a mishap I had with the original IS300.net Fog Mod. I'm posting the method here due to a few requests.

Parts Needed:
1 Mini Add-A-Circuit (Found at Pepboys or Autozone, Kragen does not carry them)
3 Male quick disconnects
4 Female shielded quick disconnects
2-3 feet of 16 GA. Wire

Step 1: Remove door moulding and fuse covers (per IS300.net's Fog lights mod)

Step 2: Remove these two bolts (Size 10 Metric)

Step 3: Pull the 7.5 AMP Ignition Fuse (I'm pointing at it)

Step 4: Lift up on the fuse panel and pull it open to see the Fog Relay (Again, I'm pointing at it)

Step 5: Make three 4-6" wires with a Male quick disconnect on one end and one Female quick disconnect on the other, and one 12-16" wire with one female quick disonnect on one end only. (You will need to file down the male end of the wire so that it is the same size as the corresponding prong on the Fog Relay)

Step 6: Crimp the Mini Add-a-Circuit to the end of the long wire

Step 7: Plug the wires onto the Fog Relay

Step 8: Slide the Fog Relay back into the area behind the fuse panel, then plug three male ends into the corresponding slots of the fuse panel (the three plugs shown are the only ones used, the fourth is empty)

Step 9: Plug two 7.5 AMP fuses into the Add-a-Circuit, then plug the unit into the original Ignition fuse location.

Step 10: Turn the key to the "On" position and enjoy your fogs. Make sure the Highbeams aren't on.

Step 11: Put your car back together.

Enjoy.

Edit:

Just for CharlieD06, even though I DID mention the Colorado Lexus Club in the first sentence, their website is colexusclub.com.

Also, I forgot to mention that ALL INFORMATION POSTED HERE IS FOR EDUCATION ONLY. WHATEVER YOU JACK UP WORKING ON YOUR OWN CAR IS DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHOEVER MAY BURN DOWN THEIR CAR OR CAUSE IT TO NO LONGER WORK IN ANY OTHER WAY WHILE ATTEMPTING THIS MOD.

One more thing, a couple of Pros and Cons as to why I chose this method over the original:

Pros:
1. The Fog Mod circuit is independent of the ignition circuit. If crap were to happen with the fogs that causes a short in the circuit with the original fogmod, your car will not start. This can cause a panic until you realize the fuse is blown. (the add-a-circuit portion can be added to the original method to fix this, in case you were wondering)
2. Cost of the Fog relay if you happen to break the prong while bending it
3. Damage caused to the fuse panel by forcing an extra wire in the slot.

Cons:
1. Costs more than the original. (approx 6-8 dollars for the Add-a-Circuit, 2-4 dollars for the quick disconnects, and say an extra 50-60 cents for the extra wire used)
2. There is more work. More crimping of terminals, plus filing down the quick disconnects to fit the original relay plugs

does anyone know where to find the instructions on the mod that allows the fogs and highbeams being turned on at the same time?

CoLexusClub.com
It looks like Irv took all those pictures and explained it in his own words.
Yeah, but it still came from CoLexusClub.com
Anyone can paraphrase a sentence or two and take pix of doing a job you were given directions how to do.

Sorry, didnt mean to be mean

Thats called an animated gif.
And I took 3 separate pics of the car with the different light combinations and used a gif animator to make that sequence.

good work.

just curious? it seems you messed up the .net fog mod, yet were able to do this seemingly more intensive one?

whats up with that?

This one is more intensive, but you dont have to bend the spade on the relay. Thats important to me thats why I did it.
We can change ours back to normal super easy and switch it back again super easy and never have to worry about possibly breaking that spade.
