How much horsepower can you expect from an is300 stock engine with a turbo kit? And how much boost will that take? I'm not talking anything fancy just tuned out of the box turbo kit.

Also what are the limits of the engine, what is the point where they start to break?

I have 540 rwhp on the stock internals on my engine. The 2JZ is a very strong engine.

Really? Where is the dyno graph? Why does everyone say you never post this figure? And how much has your tranny been upgraded?

I once put on one of those electric turbocharger things and when I started up the IS, the engine blew. It can't hold that kind of power...the 2JZ sucks balls.

Look around at the tuners who offer shippable kits like PFS, SRT, TBKO, and PLP. Those will give you an idea of what to expect out of the box. The engine's limits are still being tested by many of the tuners out there...be on the look out for some sick turbo'd IS300s to hit the streets very soon. 8)

wxman nice numbers! Have you run your car? (1/4) any plans too, what kinda trap et are you expecting? I assume it must be difficult to get any traction with a stiff suspension and all that power.

Thanks for the compliments 02StangGT. Traction is definately an issue. I have Zeal coilovers which give me some damper adjustment which definately helps with traction and makes drifting a lot more enjoyable. :)

Wow, one of the gods hath shown his strength! I never thought you would share your numbers with us :D Very impressive!!
stick, thanks for the compliments! :) As impressive as the dyno looks, you should be in the car when it pulls like that. It is difficult to explain the sense you feel. :)

Hmmm, I don't know. I only knew of his tq numbers. I'm still impressed. Wxman, I would like a drive to experience the thrill.
