I think there were more then 3000 produced. I am saying this because the Sportcross have a different side member then the sedan and would require a different die during the stamping process and they cost a great amount from what I've heard. I'll try to ask someone from Japan. I had asked this same question before to someone at work and I got the answer dealing with the die from press.
