Aloha .Net members,

I would like to know if anyone knows how to takeout the HID's wiring and

ballast from the stock headlights?

Please, any help would be appreciated.

I believe you need to take out the headlamp from the car.... not 100% sure though... somebody correct me if I'm wrong.....

In order to take out the headlamp, you need to take your bumper off first.... once you took the headlamp out... it's pretty easy to take out the balast and wiring..... I believe that in order to take the wire out, you need to turn the motor around....

I think he is referring to the actual HID ballast D2R socket which can be difficult to get out of the housing.

-Disconnect the autoleveling motor from the reflector,
-Push the low beam reflector all the way forward,
-Push the socket through (will require some force)

For the wiring, diconnect the connectors then you can just pull it all out with a clean jerk.
