I did a fit check last night on some rims and was wondering how close is too close to the caliper? it doesn't rub against the caliper or anything like that but it is definitely closer then my ltuned rims (maybe .3")
thanks

No Rub?

No Rub = Good
Rub = Bad

Basically if it clears it works, there is very little movement in the position of the caliper relative to the wheel. It sounds like you are fine.

the stock IS300 wheels are only about 1-2 mm away if even...since the rotors and wheels are on the same stud...the distance will never change so as long as it clears...it works.

You will be plenty fine with .3". I have been told to have no less than 2mm.
