I was considering joining the local SCCA autocrossing scene, and I found out that tires can be changed in the stock class.

I understand that the IS has both the Bridgestone Potenza ??? and the Eagle GS-Ds (which is what I have); will these tires do the job or are there tires that will significantly improve handling?

I autocross my IS 300 on 16" SC300 wheels with Kumho 225/50/16 inch tires. The legal wheels are 16 x 6.5 inch with a +50mm offset unless you have a spare set of 17's lying around.

The alignment specs are 1.0 degrees negative camber all around (just rotate the eccentrics 180 degrees) and 1/8 inch toe in out back - zero toe front.
