Even if your opener is on a "rolling code" you can still program it. I have done mine and it works fine. What you should do is program the homelink with your remote first. Then, you have to look on the opener itself and find a "learn" or "program" button. Follow the directions to program the opener using your homelink as the new "remote". I have used this technique on both my Range Rover and IS, and had no problem, even with new "rolling code" openers.
Ditto on the rolling code deal. We completed construction on my house 2/99 so we have a new rolling code garage door opener. I've got my IS, '98 Concorde LXi (yes I know its a boat!) and wireless keypad as well as two visor remotes programmed, works perfectly.
