I have a spare HID kit and would like to use it for my High Beams. Will the HIDs spark up and run at the lower voltage used on the highbeams during daytime running light mode?

Stupid idea.

High beams are meant to go on and off quickly, HID's take time to "warm up."

Do a search for the many other reasons not to. It's been discussed alot.

Actually the new FX's have Bi-Xenon headlights, which means both the high and low beams are HID. So, it must be a feasible thing to do.

bi-xenon lights usually mean that the headlight housing incorporates the low beam HIDs to shine the high beam...not that there are actually two sets of HID bulbs in there.
I believe the bi-xenons simply have a reflector that is motorized to direct the lights at a higher angle.
