Hey IS300, did you get your IS from Richmond Lexus? If you don't mind me asking, how much off sticker did you get? I'm currently in the process of deciding between 325ci and IS. I got quoted $800 off and free metallic paint for the bimmer.

3Double0, Lexus Canada has a promotion of $3000 off sticker this month. Yes, it's $3000 off!!!

I got my IS from Richmond Lexus. I tested 325i sedan last week at Richmond BMW. It was a nice car... But I finally figure out IS300 is a better deal and it has a much nicer interior design. You may want something differnt than I do. Hey, 325ci is a coupe and IS is a 4-door sedan. Are you talking about 325i sedan instead?

Anyway, if you haven't done so, go to Richmond Lexus and test drive the IS. Talk to Edward Sie. He is the best sales there.

Dude, I told him it's you (someone who put deposit on 2002 IS) posted his name on this web forum. Sure, I will tell him Ted says hi.

To all Dudes from Vancouver,BC.
Last Sept. I was visiting your wonderful city in my brand new white IS. By chance I went to an aftermarket speed shop that has or is going to have some great stuff for the IS. I already bought a set of performance brake pads for the front. They are "Endless" brand from Japan. They work great but put out a lot of brake dust. They are getting in a coil over suspension called "Zeal-B2" from Japan. They are just like the "Tiens" fully adjustable for height and shock valving. Cost C$2300 installed.

Thanks for the info IS300. I test drove the IS last month and the salesperson that helped me out was Ron Mann.

Yeah I know the ci is a coupe but these are the two cars that I am considering. I don't really need the extra two doors but I love the overall style of the IS. I am also considering a used 328ci because of the light steering found in the 2001 3-series.

I am leaning towards the IS. Like you said, I find that it's a better deal and it's more exclusive than the IS (for now at least). Anyways, I should have a new car at the end of this month or early next month. I need to wait till my pops comes to Vancouver to purchase the car. Yeah I know it's pretty lame but what's a 19yr old to do...
Anyways, we'll definately need to have a Vancouver IS get together.

I've considered the 323ci &IS300 when I purchase the car too. And I choose IS300 for better power and also better equiped ( I don't think the 323ci has the leather seat option ).
Why don't we ( IS300 people in Vancouver ) get together?

Kids, my salesperson never told me about the offer either but that was last month. He did tell me, however, about a special finance rate (i think its 6.9%) but I'm paying cash for the car anyways. BTW how much off a 325i did you get quoted? I think BMW dealerships in Vancouver have some sort of agreement as to how much off sticker price they will give...bastards

I am still wondering if i should pay cash or get the financial thing coz i am staying in vancouver for about 3 or 4 years only. but what does it mean by 3000 off sticker??
and the price for the 325i is 49k plus tax, which i dont think its worth

Kids, sticker price is MSRP. The special finance rate seems pretty good so it would make sense to lease/finance if you want to do something else with that money. Just make sure you'll be here for however long you lease it. For me personally, paying cash makes more sense. BTW, why are you only staying in Vancouver for 3 or 4 years? School?

Is Seattle close enough? After all, we have more in common with you in B.C. than we do with a not of other Americans.

kids, yes, you will get at least $3K off this month (for cash and finance only). Did you talk to your sales in Nov?

Moreover, in case you want to do finance, you get 1% off for every $10K downpayment. Thus, 5.9% for a $10K downpayment and 4.9% for a $20K downpayment and so on.... Good deal huh...

Kid,

325i at 49k?? That's a bit high....325i with Sport and Premium Package + Auto Tranny should be around 47K.

At 49K, it should have all those above, + CD-Changer, PDC, Metallic Paint, and couple other small stuffs.....

P.S. Which BMW did you visit?? Try go to Auto West(Richmond Automall), and look for a guy called Andy(not me
)...
