Long story made short I'm having lighting issues.
I recieved a used switch today and plugged it in, now I have no headlights whatsoever. I removed the switch and found out the part number on the switch I received today does not match my OE switch.
The new switch's number is stamped 17A089 C, my OEM's is 17A089 D. Has anyone heard of this making a difference?

and the OEM model also seems to share a thing with a subaru model

I would start by checking the connectors and pins if those line up. Maybe you can adjust them a bit to get those in sync and it might work. Hope this helps a bit...
