Long story made short I'm having lighting issues.
I recieved a used switch today and plugged it in, now I have no headlights whatsoever. I removed the switch and found out the part number on the switch I received today does not match my OE switch.
The new switch's number is stamped 17A089 C, my OEM's is 17A089 D. Has anyone heard of this making a difference?
Thanks,
TJ

Just popped them in Google and it appears that the C model is actually for a mazda (check out this link http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://page15.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/t23746615%3Fu%3D%3Bkurumaya_serizawajp&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=9&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3D17A089%2BC%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG

and the OEM model also seems to share a thing with a subaru model

I would start by checking the connectors and pins if those line up. Maybe you can adjust them a bit to get those in sync and it might work. Hope this helps a bit...
