Im thinkin of ordering a spoiler but I have never ordered from overseas. Am I getting in over my head with these guys? I know Im in store for some major freight charges and tax if i decide to go ahead.

Opinions are welcome.

Expect to pay about US$400 for freight and insurance.

And wiring money to a bank account in Japan is a pain. I recently found out that the service charge is 3000YEN (US$28) per wire.

I bought my WALD lip from Japan. It should be here in a week. You're better off finding a dealer that has a pipeline to Japan including a shipping channel to cut down on the cost. If you're serious about buying from Japan, call Dale Davis at Shin Kai Racing at (360) 679-1968. He can help you out.

I talked to the guys at takakaira (via email) and I've been able to devise a shipping method that is pretty cost efficient.

My parents own a company that imports anime products from Japan to America, and from what it sounded like in their e-mail, shipping would be nothing since all they would do is drop off the product I wanted (Blitz lip spoiler) at the shipping company in Tokyo. Then my part would be shipped with the other stuff that's coming over via cargo ship (it's slow, but it's cheap!) We've ordered literally hundreds of boxes in some single orders, and the space that the lip spoiler takes up wouldn't cost too much.

So what you could do is order your aero part, then tell them to send it to my shipping company, and just pay me for shipping. Once it gets to me in Houston, then I'll ship it out via UPS to you in NY... that is if you trust me enough...mwhahahah... doh! There goes my credibility!
