does anyone know if there is a power source by the rear view mirror in an 01? or do i have to run it all the way down to the fuse box? I know i saw a post on this i just can't find it...please help.

most people run it down to the fuse box.
I have mine on the "car lighter" wires.

No useable wires near mirror.

Remove A-Pillar cover and run the wire there to the fuse box.
You may use a thick black wire with a red stripe on it, which is coming from ignition lock to the fuse box to tap the power. Don't use the supplied wire tapper as it is not designed for a wire of this thikness. For the ground, there is a grounding spot to the right of the MPX (Pink Box) module.
