I've been researching the E6x standalone........and I'm still confused on the difference b/t the flying lead wiring loom and a terminated harness for the Haltech E6x . This is going to be a self-install and any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.

if it is going to be self-installed, use the terminated harness.

Flying loom means you'll have to add the plugs for the sensors and what not... AIT sensor and the coolant temp. sensor. etc..


I went to toyomoto on thursday and bought an E6x with the terminated harness...

I say do the flying lead.
I think it comes with the plugs. You just crimp and solder them yourself. It's in my tutorial.

Terminated is generic so the harness is a predetermined length.
What if your MAP sensor is only 1 foot away from the main wire stalk? Now you've got 4 feet of wire to hide.

I want it to be as clean as possible....... exposed wiring might seem as if the install was a hack job. Also dealing with a pre-determine length might suck if the wires are not long enough? I checked a few online Haltech dealers, and found E6x Terminated Harness for a straight six<< would this allow me position and place all the wiring and harnesses with enough length...anymore advice is awesome!!

Yeah, thanks for the help...... i'm sure it would have been easier for you to say No!
