i went to test drive the GS430 yesterday and was impressed at how fast that car gets going...

however, the car did not stick as well as my IS300 and i thought the noise level wasn't that much better considering i was riding on the 16 inch tires. next i drove the LS430.. sweet car. almost as much ooomph as the GS430, but way more luxurious. after lexus' claim of it being the quietest luxury sedan, i wasn't impressed because the cabin noise was almost as high as the GS430 on the freeway. what gives? i didn't remember the mercedes S-series being that loud inside... overall though, both nice rides - i wouldn't mind having one of those in my later years...
