I just got my IS and while driving 50 mph for an hour I let the car rest for about 5- 10 minutes. Then I started it up and then upon accelerating slowing onto the freeway I heard this growling sound from the engine bay. It went away, but as I approach about 40 to 50 mph, it started again for a few seconds, then went away. Anyone encountered the same situation and what do you think it is? I'm a bit concern that something is wrong with the car

Try doing this...
Just unplug the negative terminal on your car for about 10 minutes. You'll have to reset your radio stations. Your homelink garage buttons will still work though.
This resets your ECU.
If you have any more problems like that, I'd bring it back and have it checked.

Isn't there a fuse (or fuses) that you can unplug for the ECU reset procedure????? Don't you think that's alot easier than unhooking the battery???
