I took the car in for an oil change and asked the mechanic to put the xerd pipe on. After ten minutes of soaking the bolts and bung with WD40, the stock pipe came off with ease. The new pipe is SS and fits with no problems. It is true, the XERD pipe sits a little lower than the stock pipe but that is barely noticeable unless you are looking for it. I have an Apex'i N1 catback exhaust flowing back from the xerd race pipe and the car sounds like a racecar. The exhaust tip now extends out about .5 inches more with the XERD pipe, and in my opinion, looks even better now. WOT you can hear the engine sound bounce off walls.
I unplugged all the plastic plugs which the ECU wires were attached to for ten minutes.
Car feels lighter now as it picks up quicker. At WOT the exhaust sounds like a Cessna aircraft accelerating on the runway.
