went to keyes lexus and they said that my cars vin# shows that i allready have the upgraded trac ecu but not the main ecu?

i thaught it was a two ecu upgrade?

has this happend to anybody else?

It is supposed to be a reprogram of the ECU and a swap of the TRAC chip.

According to the service manager at my dealership, all IS300's within the range affected have the problem, but there is a nationwide backorder on the TRAC chip. I was one of the lucky few to get both at that dealership.

I saw the Service Bulletin and there are 2 VIN # ranges. One range covers the ECU and TRAC update, the other is just for the ECU fix.

It may just be that your IS fell into the range that only gets the ECU fix.
