Hey guru's,

I got a pretty good quote, (better than I intially thought), for:

$32,750.00 w/ moonroof, LSD, heated seats, Black LP package, luggage mat and wheel locks

Sound good?

If we get some more sales at my work, I'll be in the dealership by the end of the month hopefully.

I doubt that includes tax, without the rebate and all. That's a fair price, nothing to jump for joy over. You should wait for another incentive or just for the end of the '01 model year if you wanna be financially wise about it (of course, I know how tempting it is to just pay the extra $$
)

Not bad. For comparison, I paid 33K last August for about the same package (no moon roof/didn't want it)...got little white stripes down the sides though
. Make them give you a cargo net for the trunk too. This was at the Tacoma dealership.

That's without tax & liscense.

A guy from the dealer in Bellevue said it was good and that he couldn't match it.

So my question is, why do I hear about people getting these things LOADED with all the goodies, every option I want, but for $31,800 for example?

Is it the state thing or something? I would think Cali would be higher priced than Wash, don't you all?

I'm stuck!!

Just went to www.kbb.com and found that under my zip code/area, all the options I want, plus destination charge, EVERYTHING brings an invoice price of $30548!!

that's $2200 less than what the dealer wants.

Is that a "small" profit?

Haha, absolutely not. This is why you don't pay sticker, you're getting RIPPED. Normal profit, which they should be more than happy with, is 2% (about $1200), and sometimes even that's too much. For example, Honda gives dealerships a 2% holdback (2% of the MSRP) for keeping cars on their lots. My car came off the truck, got my accessories installed, got detailed, and I picked it up. That was an extra $300 they got for nothing! But they wouldn't budge on it, because it's sure-fire profit for them. This is why you should always come to the table with your stacks of research and a price that you are willing to offer them which is both fair to you and fair to them, taking into account every piece of money that will trade hands.

Got mines for 31,000 (tax not included and no LSD), this was in March, I think they are taking you for a ride

But your price might reflect the area you live in, I am not too sure...Look around, check Edmunds.com and see if there is any dealer rebates, incentives or reduced APR's for your area. The salesman really don't like telling you about these things, just like me sales guy did.

Good Luck

I got mine with all the options and I had the dealer through in a rear spoiler, blue carbon fiber dash kit, and a matching colored auto art IS300 model car for my son for 32200 plus Tax, title, & Licence. I used autobytel, which made the process even easier as I looked at the car and they called me with the price. I know that the area of the country you live in has an impact of what you will pay. Its the good old supply and demand issue. If the dealer is sitting on a good sized inventory of them, they will be more than happy to strike a favorable dealer.
