Please post your favorite tunes for your car. you know, the tunes that just get you in the mood to get out and just drive.

I've been looking to make the best cruise mix but i never seem to be satisfied. This will probably benefit others as well.

My Picks are:
*** The Cardigans - My favorite game ***
Primus - over the electric grapevine
ATB

There are a few songs that get me driving really fast when I hear them. Off the top of my head I can only think of a few;

Fly Away-Lenny Kravitz
No. 1 Crush-Garbage
Higher-Creed
Music-Madonna
E.I.-Nelly

When I hear that first one, I usually have to make myself turn around and go home. Something about hearing it makes me want to just keep driving sometimes

As Lexoboi said... definitely get some trance for your IS. I mostly listen to metal and alternative but recently picked up a cool trance CD by a group called "Velvet Acid Christ". I've got their latest release "Twisted Thought Generator" and it is phenomenal driving music!!!!

I highly recommend it.

Scott.

EXCELLENT CHOICES: Daft Punk, Cardigans, etc.

White IS - "I'm cool like that, I jive like that, I drive like that" <--my version of Digable Planets

Overall best CD for driving:Crystal Method "Vegas". Especially racing. For some smooth backroads driving - Radiohead "OK Computer"

Other greats - Foo Fighters "7" and Paul Oakenfold "Tranceport"

Bob Marley
De La Soul
The Roots<<<

good choices. Especially Digable Planets. Some additions I would add to the list:

Jill Scott
Maxwell (1st or 2nd album)
R. Kelly (R., the double cd)

How about "Song 2" by Blur?
I like Smashmouth, Creed, and "Ya Mama" by Fat Boy Slim.

Black Uhuru and Bob Marley is good cruising music too.

For driving fast, Everclear and Social Distortion are pretty good.

My favorite road trip CD's:

-Roxy Music-Avalon (I have driven around the block to finish this one)
-Big Country-Steel Town (will keep you awake and make you think you are in Scotland)
-Dave Matthews (pretty much anything)
-Seal's first CD (brilliant)
