I love my graphite gray IS when it is washed. Unfortunately, it doesn’t stay clean for too long. It seems as if dust is super visible on that color, and only takes a couple of hours to collect. It is almost impossible to keep this color clean (or free of dust)!!! Do other colors have same problem? Would waxing the car help reduce the dust problem?

Uhhh jiggs your name looks familiar hmmm.....

I think that it does seem to look more dirty than the last car I owned which was red. I would take my GGP over black or white for that reason. I love the look of black and white on a car but, they show the dirt more (I feel). All I can suggest is to cover it or garage it as much as possible.

When I get the 2002 IS, I will probably stay away from the GGP (or any other dark color for that matter). Silver maybe the way to go, Hunt. By the way, what are you doing this weekend? Any plans for Memorial Day? I'd like to get the car waxed this weekend if you're up to it.

I run into the same thing with my SBM. I usually wash it atleast twice a week, except this week (been raining all week, no point in it). I can usually go for a while without it being too dirty, and waxing helps a little..

But washing it all the time is well worth it, since I love the color and the shine my car gives off.

Me too.....rain? What rain? Summer has arrived in Seattle!
Except the POLLEN is really bad this year and my SBM is suffering. Washed twice this week already and looks like it needs it again. Lucky I don't have allergies or I'd be suffering too.

It is a dark colored car. In all due respect, what did you expect? I have owned 2 black cars and let me tell you that my GGP is much cleaner looking than black. Plus the metalic hides a lot of the little imperfections.

Silver is the way to go. White is also very good for just day to day dust and dirt collection. White looks as dirty as black when it rains. I have had both a white and silver car too. Silver really is the best.

2002 Red should be great.

Gennady,
The new color, Vintage Gold, looks really well on the IS. Would've been my first choice if it was available for 2K1.
If I decide (probably not) to get 2K2 M model, I'd go with that color.
