I bought my car, had no problems, then the plasic undercarriage plate broke. I brought it in for 7500 mi. checkup and explained the problem, and they said they'd order the part. I've since called several times and they either say it isn't in stock yet or that they have to get back to me... I'm tired of playing games, is there any way to go over the dealership's head to file a complaint?

why don't you post the phone number and name of the service representative, so that everyone on the board can call them say where the hell is the plastic cover!!!

Or you could basically keep calling up Lexus Customer Satisfaction and say such and such dealer suchs!!!

Dealers get paid, either by the factory or by the warranty insurer for the warranty work they perform. So a dealer isn't doing you a favor by performing warranty work, you are doing them a favor by bringing your business to them. Go to another Lexus dealership who cares about getting and retaining loyal customers!

How long has it been since they promised to replace the part?

When the plastic undercarriage piece came off of my car, my dealer informed me that there was a back order on those parts. So I'm thinking this is the same case or maybe not.

If you think you're getting duped around, go to another dealership.

There is a manufacturer's rep that is in charge of Lexus service depts in your area - you'd have to contact the dealership's service manager to request the name of the district service manager. Not sure if they'll give it to you readily.

s0yb0mb, where are you located, BTW?

Complain...call lexus customer service..

I called customer service..

Just found out the other week that the guy I complained about is no longer working there...Don't know if it's cause of my call or not...But I was seriously mad when I called.
