looking to get an IS250RWD in Manual OR Auto..but the concern is what makes that much difference in Fuel Consumption...seems like the Manual really eats lots of gas even compared to IS350!! but for an Auto tranny IS250 the fuel consumption looks pretty good! anyone knows why?

Where did you pull those numbers from? They look deceptively high - I have a 350 and I know the window sticker didn't say 26/37. Even the 250 numbers look high - I'd check the source.

isimprezion is from Canada (like me) and is stating miles/imperial gallon and not US gallon which as you can see are quite different. But it equates to the same in the end.

But yes, this is an interesting 'fact'... I bought the manual 6sp and I am a little perplexed myself as to why it is thirstier than the 6sp auto? I know many automatics have come a long way now but this stat seems a little skewed. I've had my IS250 for 1 and a half tanks of gas now and I'm averaging just under 10L/100kms (mixed city/hwy driving) according to the 'Tank Ave' calculation via the dashboard display. How are you guys doing?
