it's more or less a convinence thing.
do you want to sit around for 2-5 minutes after hard driving or would you rather just get out and have the car do it on it's own.

Nope, I just let it idle a few extra seconds before I shut it off. Plus I usually am not horsing around in my neighborhood. These evil neighbors of mine call the cops. So generally my car is running at its optimal temperature prior to me parking it. Now if you are at the track all the time this item would be very handy. Just my .015 cents.

Not yet. I tend to drive pretty easy the last few miles before I get to the house. It's all 35 around here and I spend half of the last 3 mi. sitting at traffic lights. I usually let the car idle about 30sec before I shut it off. Turbo timer is coming soon though (xmas!), just as a precaution.

Love mine.. I am usually late and don't have time to sit and wait so I just get out and go let the timer handle the rest

I do not have one.. I don't mind sitting in my car for a minute or so, gives me time to listen to the engine....


Also if not having a turbo timer damages my turbo, Oh well, just more reason for me to get a bigger one.

I have one. If I didn't then i'd be late everyday! It's convenient, but the Blitz FATT is annoying as hell with the IS.

When you turn the key to take it out and the engine keep running, you loose all the key buttons functionality. So you can't get out of car while it's running, close door, and press lock button on key...it's disabled.

There's a way to get around this with other turbo timers and even this one...but I don't mind opening up my door, pressing the lock button to lock all doors, close door and go on my way!

It's good because i'm usually always in a rush in the morning.

some alarm system has a built in turbo timer, such as compustar. Its a two in one deal , turbo timer and great alarm .

Yep, I have the compustar 2wss alarm.

To set the timer, just pull the ebrake up and remove the key. It keeps the car running for 2 minutes and shuts off. Sweet.

yes, I do- it's really convenient to have- Mine usually runs for between 1-1.5 min after i turn off the ignition. Although, it isn't THAT annoying to not have one, but you have to make sure you remember to always run your car until your temps go down to an acceptable level before turning it off.

The only downside is that people get really freaked out when you lock your car and walk away while it's still running. Do you know how many times I've had to answer the question "hey, do you know your car is running?"

This would suck even more if you forgot to use the parking brake and your car started to roll away or something since you have to leave the gears in neutral!!!

No Crap!! I think you have the longest lights in the State. issed:

I know i got at least 2 more gray hairs sitting at those lights :lol:

only 2?? I lose about 10 everytime I sit through that light and if you make that f'n turn on red, there's almost ALWAYS a cop waiting to bust you issed: issed:
