This is great advice. Another thing I learned about painting cars the colors of other cars is that the same color can look quite different from car to car based on the lines and curves and angles. And even color samples are hard to judge all over the car. And, depending on the color and how different or loud it is, it might not look good on an otherwise stockish car without enough supporting mods like body kits. And there's also the idea of keeping the color in the family, like sticking to a Lexus color rather than going to a Ford color. But it really depends on what you want. And if you don't really want anything, it's probably best to leave it alone. (just speaking from my own experience and opinion here)The problem with color shopping is you really have to see them in person. The internet doesn't do these colors justice.
