The rear fogs are for cars behind, when its real foggy, the car can follow your rear fogs, too bad if YOU drive off a cliff, he'll probably follow hehee.

Some VWs come with rear fogs, at night it looks like one of their brake lights is out. I believe its illegal to have 2 rear fog lights because it'll be confused with your actual brake lights. Not much use here in cali, but I'm sure its useful in Europe.
