is there anyway to dampen the sound of an exhaust. i changed my exhaust and it's REALLY loud right now. it's to the point where it's annoys me like crazy on the highway or whenever i accelerate. i was just wondering if dynamat would help reduce this drone or if there was something else that you could put in between your trunk or the back seats to reduce this noise inside the car??

EDITproblem solved. bought a silencer and the inside of the cabin sounds as quiet as it was with the stock exhaust.

all those other methods don't work (ie:foam core in the truck, dynamat, etc)

What kind of exhaust did you install?? i know HKS makes silencers for their exhausts.

dynamat will help the noise inside of the car. Thats what its made to do.

But outside will still be loud.

it's a custom exhaust i had a shop make for me.

yeah i don't really care about the outside of the car. i just want the inside to be a little more quite.

Is it leaking? My exhaust is LOUD. I can drown out the sound of Harley's. But with the windows rolled up most of the sound should be outside the car. When the exhaust went on the civic, it was loud as hell inside the car because the leak was under the car.

If it's really that loud make sure there are no leaks under the car.

Phewhahahahhaa, oops, uhh... :crazy: . Hey use a silencer in the canister, that's what I'm doing to get rid of the drone around 3k rpm which is hwy crusing rpm on my 80mm Nur Spec.

i don't think it's SRT's fault. it's turbonetic's fault.

Well...I guess running out of turbos is one thing turbonetics can be blamed for. But the fact that SRT didn't have more to4e's in stock beforehand is their fault. I've been waiting almost a half year for the damn turbo kit and the only thing I have are clamps, connectors and some electronics. I have NO other hardware at all. It's driving me crazy

Hey lil' IS 300...I saw your turbo/kit and many others sitting on their table today. Mo has been kicking ass on parcelpimps stage 4 and is also working on getting those shipped kits out. Call Marken tomorrow and see whats up.
