I know this topic has been discussed before... but there seem to be half half on the opinions. is it safe to spray Simple Green and water on our engine? what needs to be covered before spraying? Thanks

Yes you can spray Simple Green. You need to cover up the element of your air filter so if you have a cone filter then wrap it with a plastic bag.

there are some harsher agents that we cant use on aluminum head or block engines cause it burns the metal.

are you looking for shine? some of the spray on tire foam works well after the bay has dried. run the motor and let everything get hot to dry up everything and spray on the foam, or black magic, eagle 1 on all the black. let the motor continue to run and it will spread out over all your hoses and such. Doing this when you live on a dirt road is useless though, as it makes your motor get dirty quicker.

If you clkean your engine bay, make sure you do it beforte you wash the car. you dont want any simple green touching your paint very long, or any armorall over spray. Once you have finished, then wash the car :chill:
