Just wondering if your supposed to turn ECT while the car is stopped or its safe to do while driving. I usually use it to get on highways etc...

Also, i happen to feel a big difference with ECT on rather then off. Feels like the car has alot more torque then it actually does....kinda cool.

You can use it all the time. It changes shifing pattern a bit so your car stays longer in lower gear when accelerating. That is all.
That's why manual cars don't have it.

the good old ECT button.... dont get too excited as my fathers '89 Camry has the exact same button. Like vlad said, it changes shift points a bit and holds a lower gear for better acceleration at the expense of gas mileage.
