I vaguely remember sometime ago walking into a stereo shop and the salesman there saying something about the eclipse warranty (if the unit was ever stolen) and being installed by a certified eclipse dealer. I believe it was something to the effect of being replaced for free. This was probably 3-4 years ago.

yes, at least it was true a year or two ago when i worked in a shop that sold eclipse. but i think the esn had to do w/the security code you set with an audio CD of your choice.
