Any thoughts on dusting with just plain old 100% cotton towels. Seems to work out for me on the dust that always accumilates on the rear of the car and on the rims.

Very harmful to dust with towels only. Without some sort of lubricant such as a Quick Detailer or similar, your paint will instantly get scratched and swirled from scraping the dirt across the finish. The Cali Car Duster does work great for a light coat of dust, but I don't trust it when the buildup gets thick. I also use the Water Blade after washes, wonderful product.
