Driver seat motor problems.

As the title states, has anyone been able to find these motors that operate the forward and backward motion? Mine just gave up. Granted I’m being lazy as it just happened today and I haven’t taken anything apart yet. I plan on taking it apart and applying voltage directly to the motor(s) just to make sure it’s dead.

Every other function works as it should, recline works, the seat bottom tilts and goes up and down. The seat just won’t move forward or backward.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so what did you do to fix it? Also does anyone know if these motors are still available?

The part you're looking for that isn't a million dollars other than that the dealership wants 500 for a new one. IMO I'd rather end up buying 2 or 3 before I drop 500 on a new one. I've had good luck with used OEM stuff. PN 85820-30710 I think might wanna double check.

Well, got around to looking at the seat motor today and I think the seat was just stuck very well in the rail. So there is a provision to manually move the seat forward with a 12mm socket. So I moved it forward slightly and then tried the switch and sure enough it worked. So I just greased the rails a little and it’s working just like it was before.

As far as eBay is concerned, I bought one thing from there years (I mean years) ago and I received a damaged item. I got the situation resolved but I just don’t trust used stuff I can’t physically touch myself. There are also some people claiming OE parts and then sometimes they aren’t or there Is some type of discrepancy. Idk I just don’t do eBay. Haven’t for at least 15 years so…
Ebay is very hit or miss. I've got OEM plugs and wires for 50% off and a brand new rack that cracked in my fingers. It's fine if you're willing to deal with the hassle of returns.
