so i have a exhaust leak at the v-band of my down pipe...my tuner says i need to have that fix before finishing tunning...so what are the problems if i dont fix this and keep tunning , and just have it fixed afterwards...thanx
The AFR readings on your wideband (and his tailpipe wideband) will be bogus until the leak is fixed.
A wideband is an oxygen sensor in the exhaust stream. When you have an exhaust leak, it lets stray oxygen from the atmosphere enter the exhaust stream making the readings lean depending on how large the exhaust leak is.
man.. I have the same issue.. I need to get it fixed.. I been running with no o2 sensors to prevent any lean issue, but it's running rich all the time on default ecu map.
