Yes and no. The IS300 has a 2JZ-GE, the Supra TT has a 2JZ-GTE. The engines for the most part are very similar, apart from the turbos, the main differences are the pistons, which are stouter in the Supra, pistons, a thicker head gasket to lower compression in the Supra and finally a slightly different head.

The 2JZ-GTE block also has oil squirters in the block to squirt the underside of the pistons under extreme load. Their usefulness has been questioned many times.

Just wanted to point out that your post states "pistons, which are stouter in the Supra". I believe it should state "connecting rods".
I'm not positive whether the pistons are stouter in the Supra. However, I'm positive that jwflynn is correct, especially for the VVT-I 2JZ-GE. It has thinner con rods than the Turbo Supra's 2JZ-GTE
