I dont see many, if at all. There are a hell of a lot of 3/5 series and some audis, but Ive never seen people riding in tourings or avants. I live near Houston by the way. I just find it peculiar as this type of vehicle is popular in europe I believe, but rare here.

Two perfect wagons: AMG E55 Wagon and M5 Wagon...

I see mostly 5 series wagons in West L.A., some 3 series wagons, but not too many Avants. Strangely, last time I checked, the 540i wagon was more expensive than the X5 4.4i...

Never see any, and funny how car mags say that market is heating up too. Supposedly auto makers want a cross between the sport ute and the sport sedan. I don't buy it. (literally and figureatively)

I would buy one in a flash. It would be my wife's car and when I had to drive it, I would get to drive a BMW instead of a Nissan. The wagons sometimes actually have better weight distribution than the sedans and you can throw the dog and stroller in the back.

You may not think it is cool but when that M5 leaves you in its wake with the retriever waving goodbye from the back, you may have second thoughts. Same would go for the 540i Sport Wagon.

Hey, when you guys get older and married like me a German wagon won't look so bad up against a minivan. As long as you get to drive what you want, you will be flexible for the wife's car.

Hmmm, I wonder if I could talk her into an S4 Avant? "Honey, S stands for safety."
